Face-To-Face Course on Social Participation in Health

The CORE Programme team (Colombia) organised their second in-person training course on Social Participation in Health in July 2025. This course was conducted as part of the training and capacity building component of the CORE Programme.

Course Objectives:

  • To strengthen knowledge and tools for guaranteeing the right to social participation in health

Participant Profile

The course was attended by various stakeholders, including:

  • Professors at Local Universities

  • Oral Health Professionals from the Public Health Service

  • Final Year Undergraduate Dental Students

  • CORE Team Brazil

Main Outcomes Observed

The course was essential in demystifying the field of qualitative research for those already working in research.

For graduating students and public health professionals, the course promoted engagement, and this group felt encouraged to seek mentoring and, if possible, to apply for a Master’s programme.

Course Evaluation

The feedback from attendees was positive. The majority stated that the course exceeded their expectations, provided an in depth introduction to the subject and, featured a clear and coherent methodological approach. All attendees stated that they would like to attend future courses in the series.
